Prism of Time

TO HONOUR THE WOMAN YOU ARE TODAY

The Experience

Every Prism of Time experience is unique because every woman arrives with a different story.

The process itself is kept intentionally simple.
There is nothing to prepare, nothing to perform and no expectation of what you might discover.

It simply creates the space for one moment in your life to be witnessed, honoured, remembered
and, perhaps one day, seen differently.

A Conversation

Every Prism of Time experience  begins with a conversation.

This isn't a consultation in the traditional sense, nor is it an interview. It's simply an opportunity for us to get to know each other.

We'll talk about what drew you to the project, where you find yourself in life at the moment, and any thoughts or questions you may have.

It matters to me that you feel at ease before we even pick up a camera.

A Letter to This Moment

Before your portrait session, I'll send you a series of gentle prompts and invite you to write A Letter to This Moment.

This isn't intended to be a journalling exercise or a piece of polished writing. Think of it instead as a quiet conversation with yourself - a chance to capture some of the thoughts, feelings and observations that belong to this particular moment in your life.

Some women find themselves writing immediately after the portrait session, while the experience is still fresh. Others wait a few days before putting pen to paper. There is no right time, only the time that feels honest to you.

The letter is entirely yours. You may choose to keep it safely at home or, if you enjoy the symbolism of it becoming part of the experience, you are welcome to send it to me in a sealed envelope. I will never open or read it, and it will be returned to you sealed alongside your finished collection.

The Portrait Session

The portrait session itself is relaxed, unhurried and gently guided.

The aim isn't to create the perfect version of you or the image you think the world wants to see. It is simply to create an honest portrait of who you are at this moment of your life.

There is no need to know how to pose and nothing to perform for the camera.

Sometimes we'll talk.

Sometimes we'll sit quietly.

Often the most meaningful photographs happen somewhere in between.

Wear something that feels like you. Bring someone with you if that makes you feel more comfortable, or simply come on your own. There is nothing you need to become before you arrive.

Receiving your Collection

After our session, I'll carefully edit your portraits and prepare your collection.

The portraits and your Letter to This Moment are then reunited, creating a record of this moment in your life from two different perspectives.

Together they preserve something that time so easily softens, not simply how life looked, but how it felt to be living it.

Some women keep their portraits and letter as a deeply personal record. Others choose to share them with their families.

Perhaps, in a few years' time, you'll return to them and discover something you couldn't yet see today.

The meaning belongs to you.
